

Marilyn Ann Preddy, 88, passed away on February 19, 2021, in San Antonio. Born on January 27, 1933 in Shreveport, Louisiana, she was known for her fiery red hair and beautiful blue eyes. Marilyn exemplified warmth and grace. After raising five children, Marilyn went to San Antonio College where she earned her Paralegal Degree. She then went on to work for the Bexar County District Attorney’s office for Bill White, followed by the Attorney General’s office, child support division. Marilyn was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Beethoven Damenchor, Tuesday Musical Club, and the Harp and Shamrock Society. At a very young age, she found a love for music, especially classical and opera. Marilyn proudly sang in the St. Marks Episcopal Church Choir and Beethoven Damechor, where she traveled the world touring and singing.
Marilyn is survived by her brother, Charles (Carmen) Yeiser and sister, Susan Hirronen; her children, Dan (Barbara) Hillsman, Kelly (August)Toudouze, Erin ( William) Landrum. Cherished grandmother of Dane Hillsman, Brian Hillsman, Kayleigh Swenson, Ashley Johnson, Kristi Hillsman, Kacie Hillsman, Allison Neimark, August Toudozue IV and Victoria Toudozue; as well as several great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Grace Yeiser, her husband, Robert F. Preddy; sons Bryan G. Hillsman and John S. Hillsman, and sister, Roberta Krumbhar.
