

He was a graduate from Spring Hill Kansas High School in 1939. During his early life he was farming in eastern Kansas.
In July 1939 he was contracted by Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Ok. Jack went to Tulsa as a mechanic at the First Army Air Corps Contract Flying School before World War II. While working as a mechanic he enrolled in Spartan School of Aeronautics.
In the year of 1941 Jack had received his Aircraft Mechanics, Pilots and Ground School Instructors License. In 1941 Jack was transferred to Muskogee, OK to the 2nd Army Air Corps School of Spartan.
In February 1942 Jack was transferred to Miami, OK to Spartan School # 3 British Training School as Superintendent of Maintenance. At Miami Jack established the first production line maintenance that later was used by many schools and airlines. Spartan School closed in October 1945 and Jack went to work for War Assets selling WWII aircraft.
In 1946 Jack sold aircraft to San Antonio Express Paper Co to haul newspaper from San Antonio, TX to the Rio Grande Valley. Jack went with the paper company until 1947 when he went into his own aircraft repair shop in Harlingen, TX. In 1949 Jack returned to the paper delivery operation until 1957.
In 1957 Jack again went into his own aircraft operation as All American Maintenance. In this operation he was very active in certificating WWII aircraft, to cargo and passenger aircraft for supplemental airlines. The Corps maintained over 100, two and four engine aircraft for various airlines. The Corps overhauled many aircraft for the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy. Jack sold the business in 2004. Jack was very active in aircraft repair flying and retired after 65 years in the aircraft industry.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife on March 1, 1990.
Jack is survived by one daughter, Shirley Cicchese and husband, Bruce of Hammond, WI, three grandsons, Larry Cicchese, Anthony Cicchese and great granddaughter, Aza and Jimmy Cicchese (Robin) and great granddaughter Abigail. Two granddaughters Nicole Beltranol- Lopez and great-grandchildren Karla and Anthony and Tammy Cowan (Rich) and great grandchildren Danielle, Sajinn and Christopher.
