Mark was born April 26, 1964, in San Antonio, to Rose Mary Garza of San Antonio, and Robert B. Brown of Devine, TX. Growing up, he loved sports (especially football) and developed a passion for music – both passions would stick with him his entire life. He married his high school sweetheart, Michelle Moore; together they were blessed with three beautiful children – Kristen, Ryan, and Alyssa. Mark proudly followed his father’s footsteps into the automotive industry, where he found his own personal successes through the years.
Mark loved deeply and his love was far-reaching. He loved his children and always wanted the best for them. He loved his parents and enjoyed the time spent living with and taking care of his mother. This time also offered Mark the opportunity to grow closer to and extend his love to his nieces and nephews, who would often be at the residence.
A highlight of Mark’s legacy will be in how he shared his passion for music with his family, providing them with an incredible musical foundation. He was an aficionado of music, especially rock and classic rock, but also pop, disco, soul, funk, and hip-hop – truly offering him the ability to connect with almost anyone through music. Anyone that knew Mark was influenced in some way by his love and knowledge of music. He was also an excellent cook and loved to spoil his family with his delicious dishes. He was a voracious reader (especially of non-fiction), a sports enthusiast, sports card collector, and stocks follower (even earning stockbroker licenses).
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Bob” Brown and grandparents Rosa & Jose Villareal and Zaragoza & Alicia Garza.
He is survived by his three children Kristen (Brown) Rothstein (husband Justin), Ryan Brown, Alyssa Brown, and their mother, his former spouse Michelle Forrester; his mother Rose Mary Garza; his sisters Daniella Dominguez, Rose Ann Akeroyd (husband Stephen), Suzanne Garza (husband David); and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
