Mark Crawford Fowler, born in Temple, Texas on July 16, 1947, went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2009 at the age of 61. Mark was called by God to be a minister at the age of 16, and fulfilled that ministry throughout his entire life, through service as both a church pastor and a lay pastor in whatever arena in which he was placed. His life was marked by many passionate commitments: first and foremost to his Savior, Jesus Christ; to his wife and family; and to the many friends he had throughout his life's work. He loved the theatre, the San Antonio Symphony, downtown living, and travel. He is preceded in death by his father, William Carey Fowler and his mother, Ruth Crawford Fowler. He is survived by his college sweetheart and beloved wife of 41 years, Bonnie Bates Fowler; daughter, Brittany Fowler Norman and son-in-law Michael Norman of Temple; son, Carey Seth Fowler and daughter-in-law Melanie James Fowler of Ft. Worth; six beloved grandchildren; and in-laws Hazel and JW Bates of Temple.
