Mark was interested in many things, like stamp collections and collecting record albums. He was in the Boys Scouts when he was younger and graduated from Highlands High School in San Antonio in 1977.
During his tour of duty in the Marines, he took Martial Arts training. He also had upholstery training and culinary training. Mark was a very determined person who, when he set his mind to it, nothing could deter him. Even though he had a seizure condition, he never missed a day of work when he worked various security jobs.
I admired him and was proud that he didn’t let his condition get in the way, a sentiment that was also shared by his father, Bob.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elda Sharp; and his brother, Derek Kenneth Sharp.
He is survived by the only person he was interested in, his devoted wife of 45 years, and friend for 50 years, Sharon Marie Sharp. He is also survived by his daughters, Tiffany C. Alberti, and Anastasia Minuet Sharp; his grandchildren, Celia Crueger, Trevor Kemen, and Benjamin Baus of Wisconsin, and Alexandra Alberti, of NC; his sister, Linda Sharp and her sons, DJ and Derek AK Sharp; and his cousins Victor Opio and wife, Joann Arroyo and daughter, Crystal Arroyo, Jean Porter, and daughter, Lily.
Dr. Hugh Hastings of Fountain of Living Church, where we attended for 16 years, will preside over the private memorial service at Oak Hills Chruch.
