

Marjorie Anne Eaton Hartman, daughter of Ola Mae and Ross P. Eaton, Sr., born on August 8, 1926 died on November 11, 2004 after a long and courageous fight with cancer, Parkinson's disease, and diabetes.
Marjorie was a life-long resident of the San Antonio area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther E. Hartman, in 1989 after 39 years of marriage; sisters, Leila Claire Gross of San Antonio and Thelma Winters of Corpus Christi, and brother, Ross P. Eaton, Jr. of San Antonio.
She is survived by sisters-in-law, Jackie Eaton of San Antonio, and Anna Sophia Wilson of Brenham, Dorothy Elizabeth Brannies of Mason; nieces Julie Gross Byers of San Antonio and Shelly Winters Jefts of St. Louis, Missouri; and nephews, Johnny Gross and Duane Eaton of San Antonio, Terry Eaton of Austin, along with numerous cousins, great-nephews/nieces, and great-great nephews/nieces.
She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after which she was a Texas history teacher at Eisenhower Junior High School.
While living in Windcrest, Marjorie was very involved with the Windcrest United Methodist Church and the Windcrest Arts & Crafts Club. She was also a member of the Wimodausis Chapter No. 141 O.E.S. While involved with the Windcrest United Methodist Church, she completed the Emmaus Walk, which was always one of the spiritual highlights of her life.
She was known for her love of children, seasonal decorating, and pets.
Marjorie spent the last five years of her life living at Independence Hill Retirement Center/Assisted Living Center, which she deeply enjoyed. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the outstanding staffs at Independence Hill Assisted Living Center and Vitas Hospice.
