Marsha Renee Hill Fewell, age 60, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, in San Antonio from complications with her six-year battle with cancer, and its evil effects. She was born on December 23, 1962, in El Dorado Springs, Missouri to parents, Marjorie Schiereck and Marvin Hill. Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Mark Hill. She is survived by her husband, Franklin W. Fewell and their fur babies, Ladi and Archie of San Antonio.
Marsha and Franklin met in Warrensburg, Missouri where she attended school and Franklin was stationed at Whiteman AFB. Their courtship lasted 4 years until she wore him down and he proposed. They were married on January 27, 1989, and the first assignment together was Aviano AB, Italy. While being a military spouse with her husband in the Air Force for more than 22 years, stationed in Italy for three assignments, New Mexico, Germany, Texas and Colorado, Marsha was always active in the military community. She worked as a Key Spouse for young families. She mentored numerous military spouses who were new to the military or new to the installation. Additionally, she was behind the scenes assisting women that were in abusive relationships often giving a safe haven in her own home. During that time, she became a vocal advocate for the protection of military spouses. She was the bravest of women, a caring most loving wife, a faithful a giving friend, self-assured, and straight spoken. While being an advocate, she also worked as an independent sales representative for The Pampered Chef and Park Lane. She became a roll model in all avenues of her life, especially for military spouses. As she traveled the world, she never met a stranger, and those friendships remain today. She had a huge heart for fostering and supporting dog rescues. There wasn’t a fur baby that she didn’t love. Marsha impacted so many people’s lives, those that knew her will remember her kindness, her generosity, her love for the Chiefs, her spunk, and her eternal smile.
