

She was an inspiration and brought joy to everyone's life.
Martha was born May 27, 1967 in McAllen, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Gustavo; and her sons, Dario Vidal, Gustavo Enrique and Diego Salvador Arteaga. She is also survived by her parents, D.V. and Carmen Guerra; her brothers, Dario III Holland, J.E. "Eddie" Norma, Ricardo Kay, and Luis; and her sister, Mari Carmen David McDermott.
Martha was a member of Saint Matthew Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister. Martha graduated from Texas A & M University in 1989 with a bachelor's of Arts degree in Speech Communication. She was a graduate of Edinburg High School and Saint Joseph's Catholic School.
Martha served as a Public Affairs Specialist for the United States Department of Agriculture USDA Natural Resources Conservation NRCS for thirteen years.
During her years of service, she received the prestigious USDA Group Honor Award from the Chief of the NRCS for providing outstanding outreach programs aimed at the Hispanic Community and socially disadvantaged.
She was a member of the National Organization of Professional Hispanic NRCS Employees and the Southwest Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Services will also be held on Saturday, July 19 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M. in McAllen.
