Martha M. Peak

She was born July 15, 1928, in Towanda, IL to Jacob and Margaret (Arndt) Liska. She married Gary R. Peak on October 28, 1949 in Normal, IL.

Surviving are her husband, Gary, of San Antonio; daughter, Margaret (Roger) Jodts of Normal, IL; son, Daniel (Iris) Peak of San Antonio; son, Stanley Peak of Uvalde; son, Randy (Ruth) Peak of San Antonio; daughter, Janet (Doug) Roberts of San Antonio; daughter, Leona (Thomas Glenn) Angotti of Boerne; daughter, Rebecca Bulko of Rabun Gap, GA; 24 Grandchildren; 34 Great-Grandchildren; 1 sister, Katherine Jones of Carlinville, IL.

Martha was preceded in death by her mother and father, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Martha served as a Nurse Aid for 11 years, during which time she was an Avon Representative, and held several other daytime duties; worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company for 9 years, and led a very productive Tupperware Team called the Peak Performers from 1983 - 2009. Martha was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in NE San Antonio for the past 10 years where she was one of their most faithful attendees.

Throughout her life, she was faithful to serve in several capacities of the church, one of the best Children's workers at Bloomington First Assembly of God.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, March 1 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Calvary Temple (ctlchurch), 14335 O'Connor Rd. San Antonio, TX 78247, with Rev. Doug Roberts, officiating. Two of her former pastors, Rev. Terry Richardson and Rev. Elbert Smart will take part in the funeral service.

Burial will be held in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Tuesday morning, March 7 at 9am.
