She was born March 10, 1920 in Kentucky to the late Parvin N. Blalock and Ina Thurman Blalock.
Prior to marriage, she taught school in Kentucky and Missouri.
Mrs. Stewart was a volunteer at Humana Hospital Surgical Unit for several years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, R. C. Stewart; sons, Charles D. Stewart of Seguin, Texas and Scott D. Stewart of Pipe Creek, Texas, granddaughter, Rebecca Stewart of San Antonio, Texas; and sisters, Opal Howard of Murray, Kentucky; Ann Eva Maddox and husband, Jake of Louisville, Kentucky; Janice Miller and husband, Jackie of Nacogdoches, Texas; Rachel Solomon and husband, Jim of Henderson, Kentucky; and Bettie Gravette and husband, Donald of Henderson, Kentucky.
