Martin T. Tovar

Martin T. Tovar, born on August 5, 1962, passed away on January 13, 2026, at the age of 63. Martin enjoyed sports (Go Texas Tech!), going to countless concerts, trying his luck at the casinos in Las Vegas, watching the stock market 24/7, and most of all spending quality time with his loved ones.

Martin was proud to have lived a life grounded in hard work, education, and family. He put himself through college, dedicated 20 years of service to Valero Corporation before retiring, and was always the person who stepped up for those closest to him. Known as "Unc" to his nephews, Martin served as not only an uncle in life, but a father.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Torres Tovar; brother, Robert Tovar.

He is survived by his father, Raymond V. Tovar; siblings, Rocky Tovar (Diane); Carrie Tovar (David); Priscilla Wulf(Arnie); beloved nephews and niece, Nathan Tovar (Kerry), Christina Ramoz (Kevin), Zachary Wulf, and Jake Wulf; great niece, Rylee Ramoz; great nephew, Calvin Tovar.

The Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, located at 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.

The Mass of The Resurrection will be celebrated at St. John Berchmans' Catholic Church, 1147 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 11:00 am. There will be no procession from the funeral home on Wednesday.
