

Marvin Herman Kuntz entered eternal life on January 25, 2022, at the age of 94. He was born in San Antonio and lived his entire life there except for his service in the Navy during WWII and a special work assignment for the IRS of about 4 years. Marvin graduated from St. Mary’s University in 1949 and was an Internal Revenue Agent for 33 and a half years, retiring in January, 1985. He married Adeline Laubach on July 17, 1965. Marvin was a life-long Catholic and belonged to Our Lady of the Atonement Catholic Church. Marvin and Adeline loved to travel and visited Euorpe, Egypt, the Holy land, and Alaska. He was a firm believer in the Pro-Life movement and participated in Operation Rescue. Marvin was a charter member of Knights of Columbus 4140. He and his wife, Adeline were charter members of Allied Womens Center, a Catholic Crisis Pregnacy Center, and did volunteer work there for years. Marvin was also active in San Antonio Right to Life. He volunteered at VITA, helping the poor with their tax returns, for 10 years after his retirement. Marvin was a kind and generous man, loved by all who knew him. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Henry P. and Ida R. Kuntz; beloved wife, Adeline Laubach Kuntz; sisters, Rosalie Fowler and Thekla Waddell; and brothers, Alvin and Ed Kuntz. Marvin is survived by nephews, nieces, and thieir families. We would like to thank his nieces Jeanette Blount and Kathryn Ciomperlik for their years of loving care and service. Visitation will be held Monday February 7, 2022 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm with a Rosary Service starting at 7:00 pm at Porter Loring Mortuary North. Mass will be Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 11:00 am at OLPH Catholic Church in Selma. Entombment in Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum.
