Marvin Herbert McBee, born April 29, 1931, passed away on July 8, 2017 at the age of 86. Marvin graduated in 1949 from Burbank High School. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the Marine Corp during the Korean War. He retired from the Pearl Brewery, where he worked as a brewmaster for 45 years. Marvin was an All-Star sportsman who enjoyed the rodeo and was known as the “Crazy Cajun” at dances.
He is preceded by his parents, Herbert and Milissie McBee, and his sister, Dorris Rone.
Marvin is survived by his daughters, JoMar Rose, Tamie Rabenaldt (Mike), Brenda Irle (Mike); son, Herb McBee (Penny); sister, Patsy McBee; grandchildren, Ashley Rose, Garrett Rose, Brittany Irle, Austin Irle, and Cheryl Garza.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Chapel. Services will also be at Sunset Funeral Chapel on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 10:00 am, with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
