Marvin Joe Smith

Marvin was born to Pauline Leona (Owens) Turner and William Marvin Smith March 1,1951.

He also had a wonderful stepfather, Dale Turner.

Marvin proudly served in The United States Marines Corp. He had a big heart and loved his family very much. He enjoyed watching Nascar, The Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs and his Houston Astros.

During the time he lived at his brother’s home in Montgomery, there was nothing Marvin enjoyed more than spending time with his family. Specifically, he enjoyed taking fishing trips with Danny, as well as countless trips to the deer lease in Alto, Texas. Marvin loved spending time with his great nieces, Callie and Lauren. He was always up for anything and everything they wanted to do. Whether it was playing baby dolls, playing teacher, or just riding around for countless hours on the golf cart, Marvin loved it.

Marvin is survived by: Ella Smolka (sister), Danny Smith (brother), Patsy Costello (sister), Leon Costello (brother-in-law), Larry Kinard (brother-in-law), Ray Duelm (brother-in-law) and numerous nieces and nephews who will love and cherish him always.

He is preceded in death by Pauline Turner (mom), Dale Turner (stepfather), William Smith (father), Vonda DeSpain (sister), Barbara Duelm (sister), Joanna Kinard (sister), Carol Smith (sister-in-law), Larry Dale Kinard (nephew).
