Mary earned her PhD in Sociology at Catholic University, was a professor as well as Dean at Viterbo College in LaCrosse, WI.
Mary was a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration. Upon leaving the community after 30 years, Mary became a professor at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. In retirement, she briefly taught at Our Lady of the Lake University.
Mary was the ultimate teacher who was known for her gracious, loving manner. She graced so many lives with her love and kindness.
She is survived by her niece and nephew Mary Jane and Roderick Chisholm; her sister-in-law, Gloria Chisholm of Austin and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 6:00PM-7:00PM at Porter Loring Mortuary North Chapel.
