Mary Barrera Esquivel

Mary Barrera Esquivel was called home to the Lord on November 22, 2015 at the age of 82. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Gregorio C. Esquivel, and their children Rosemary Salas (Carlos), Gregory Esquivel, Carmen Esquivel, Susie Vasquez (Frank), Thomas Esquivel, BettyJean Aragon (Jay), 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Mary lived her life for faith and family. She sang in the church choir, hosted prayer groups, and was a Eucharistic minister. Mary was a homemaker and more. She believed in education and supported her children’s schools and PTA. She was a teacher’s aide at H.K. Williams Elementary and Jose Cardenas ECC, owned a home business making ceramics, and belonged to the Canary Islands Descendants Association. Most of all, she was a devoted, loving Wife and Mother. She’ll be forever missed and never forgotten. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, from 2p.m. - 9p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7p.m. that same evening. A procession will depart the funeral home on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 9:30a.m. for a 10a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St Jude Catholic Church. Internment follows at San Fernando Cemetery II.
