For over 25 years, Mary Catherine was a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Divine Providence. She earned her Master degree in Education from Our Lady of the Lake University and taught school for many years in San Antonio and in Ponca City, OK. She was a hospital chaplain in the Medical Center. Mary Catherine also became a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and practiced in San Antonio. She married Leo Eide and became the stepmother of four children and gained numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Charles and James Franz. She is survived by her beloved husband, Leo Eide; step children; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Burial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 7th at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 223 E. Summit.
On Friday, September 8th at 9:00 AM, a graveside service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
