Mary Adair Young Herron Hubka

Mary was born on December 1st, 1931 in Capitan, NM, to Jefferson Davis Herron Jr. and Pauline Crawford Herron. She grew up in Terrell, TX, and graduated from SMU. She enjoyed a fulfilling career as a home economics teacher, mothered three beloved children, and survived two cherished husbands. Mary will perhaps most be remembered for her steadfast faith in the Lord, her gracious, generous spirit, not to mention her wonderful pies -- which she attributes to landing her first husband Charlie!

She is survived by her three children Charles David Young, Laurie Adair Guillot, and Melissa Grace Young, her five grandchildren Heather Adair Pearl Schoenborn, Charles Henry Grasse, Kristof Rasor Grasse, Dylan Tynan Young, and Zacarias Winston Young, as well as her great grandchild Elsa Adair Schoenborn. Mary was preceded in death by her loving husbands Charles Winston Young and Colonel Rudolph James Hubka, her brothers John & Davis Herron, and her father & mother (who also lived to be 93½).

A Memorial service will be held on November 15, 2025, at 3pm at Porter Loring North.
