

Mary Madelyn Hauser Lyn died suddenly but peacefully at home July 31, 2008 at the age of 60. Lyn was born April 17, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1970 with a degree in history, a passion which drove her interests in reading, antiques, travel, and genealogy. She married Stanley Skinner. Later they divorced, and she settled in San Antonio with her two daughters. For more than 30 years she was a dedicated member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and parish choir. Her enthusiasm for service manifested in many endeavors; most recently her leadership and creativity lent greatly to several Battle of Flowers projects and the development of the St. Mark's Fiesta Medal. Her distinguished service with the Social Security Administration directly impacted thousands of disabled persons and retirees. Most recently, she took an active role in helping St. Paul's Episcopal Church grow their school program. Lyn spread joy around her and loved to laugh. She was steadfast and judicious in all aspects of her life. Generous and kind to all, to her adoring family and friends she was their rock. She is preceded in death by her father, the Rt. Rev. Stanley Hauser. She is survived by her mother, Madelyn Hauser. Daughters, Carrie Haden and husband, Christian; Carlye Glowacki and husband, Ryan. Siblings, Christine Hausser and husband, Robert Hausser, Jr.; Stan Hauser and wife, Kim; Mark Hauser; John Hauser. Nieces, Madelyn Hauser and Martha Hauser. Nephews, Robert Hausser III and Andrew Hauser. Grandson, Alexander Glowacki.
