Mary M. Martinez

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mary M. Martinez, who entered into eternal rest on November 17, 2025 at the age of 72. Born on July 22, 1953 in San Antonio,TX, Mary lived a life filled with love, laughter and cherished memories.

Mom had a deep love for the outdoors and was happiest tending to her yard. She cherished time with her family and always put us first, offering an open ear even when hearing was difficult for her. She understood each of us as individuals and loved us in her own special ways. Mom enjoyed her shopping trips and often made us laugh with her silly, blunt humor. She taught us to enjoy the places we love, especially when shared with family. Her kindness, strength and gentle spirit will be forever remembered.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Q. Garcia Jr. and Consuelo Hernandez Garcia; sister, Maria L. Garcia-Francis; brother, Juan Pablo Garcia.

She is survived by her son, Richard A. Martinez Jr. (Anna); daughter, Kelly R. Martinez; grandchildren, Lisamarie Martinez, Elijah Martinez, Ryan Martinez-Espinosa and Nickolas Martinez-Espinosa; great grandson, Jayden Martinez; sister, Josie G. Leza; Lifelong Companion, Eliseo Cortez; also, numerous nieces and nephews.

The Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio,TX 78237 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.

The Mass of The Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025 at San Alphonsus Catholic Church, 1202 S. Zarzamora St., San Antonio,TX 78207. Services will conclude at the church.

There will be no procession from the funeral home on Friday.

Everyone will meet at the church.
