Mary Mendez, age 94, passed away April 1, 2013. She was born on August 7, 1918 in Valley Wells , Texas to Polidoor and Ida Michiels. She is survived by her children, M.A. Maggie Grabhorn and husband Ivan, Cynthia Teniente, Ralph Mendez and wife Janine; grandchildren, Stephanie Grabhorn, R. Zachary Garza, Mary Diane Grabhorn, Suzzette Griffith, Sierra Mendez, Colter Mendez and Jacob Mendez; great-grandchildren, Daria Grabhorn, Zander Hoxie and Atzi Garza; sisters, Agnes Grothues, Paula Grothues and husband Arthur, Cecelia Stevens and Lucille Lane; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes on Thursday, April 4, 2013 beginning at 6:00 P.M. and a rosary at 7:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes on Friday, April 5, 2013 with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery # 2.
