Mary Louise Midler

Mary Louise (Caporosso) Midler, 92, of San Antonio TX, formerly of Avella PA, passed away peacefully on January 18th at North Central Baptist Hospital. Louise was born at home in Avella PA to the late Maria (Sacco) and Orazio Caporosso. She attended Avella High School and graduated in 1947. She married the late John Midler in 1950, living most of her life in Avella among family and close friends.

Louise had a zest for life and a loving, warm personality. Her family affectionately called her "Tootie." She loved Elvis, music, dancing, knitting, dressing up, and special occasions of all kinds. Her homemade family dinners were legendary, including fare such as homemade lasagna, gnocchi, pierogi, and berry pies. She loved her family dearly, showering them with care and affection.

She is survived by her daughters, Denise Varitek of Dearborn, Michigan, and Diane Neptune and her husband John of San Antonio, Texas. She was predeceased by her husband John Midler, and her brothers Thomas and Anthony Caporosso. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements will be private, under the care of Porter Loring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association or charity of choice.
