Mary Lynn Morgan

Lynn was born on June 23, 1946, in Augusta, Georgia, to loving parents Tom Nicholson Lewis and Hannah Coates Allen of Edgefield, SC. She shared a deep bond with her older sister Betty Jane Dickert, and a special connection to many cousins who she thought of as siblings.

In June of 1971, Lynn married her devoted husband of 54 years, Thomas Morgan. Lynn was a proud military spouse. She enjoyed traveling across many states and countries during Thomas' time in service. Each location provided a new opportunity for Lynn to create a nurturing home for her family. Together they went on to have two daughters, Christy and Katie.

Lynn will be remembered as a doting wife, adoring mother, caring friend, a strong woman of faith, and an endlessly compassionate person. She truly loved giving back, and helped change numerous lives through her time as a school teacher and years of charitable works.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Thomas; her Daughter, Katie and son in law David; her granddaughters, Abigail and Violet; her niece, Jane; her nephews, Allen and Paul; and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Hannah; sister Betty; her daughter, Christy; her nephew, Tommy; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Services will be held at Porter Loring North on January 20 at 11:00 a.m. CST, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. CST. A brief burial service will take place later that day at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:15 p.m. CST. There will be no procession to the cemetery, but all are welcome to attend.
