Mary Alice Dupont Phillips, age 89, passed away peacefully in her home on May 22, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on October 20, 1927 in New Orleans, LA to Joseph Cyrille & Violet Dupont II. She was a loving mother, devoted wife and friend who will be dearly missed.
She was the great-great-granddaughter of Eugene D. & Marie Marianne Verret Burguieres, the great-granddaughter of Earnest D. & Aglae Bonvillan Burguieres and the granddaughter of Joseph Cyrille & Alice Burguieres Dupont.
She was a member of the San Antonio Country Club, the Butler Country Club, the Argyle Club, the Assembly, the Forum and the Green Hand Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Houghton Phillips Jr. and two sons, Ralph Dupont Straub and Joseph Cyrille Dupont Straub.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Owen Straub and wife Pamela Denese Oldham Holland; brother, Joseph Cyrille Dupont III and wife Nancy Mckenzie; and sister, Suzette Margaret Dupont Davis.
Visitation will be 9 a.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017 followed by a 10 a.m., Funeral Service at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will continue at Sunset Memorial Park. Condolences may be offered at www.sunsetfuneralhomesa.com.
