Mary B. Spangler, born March 22, 1923, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001 in San Antonio. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ and a former member of San Pedro Church of Christ. Mary dedicated the majority of her life in San Antonio serving alongside Dr. Raymond P. Harle, as his only nurse, until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Bridgett Spangler in 1952, and her husband, George E. Spangler, Jr. in 1987. She is survived by her daughter, Janett Spangler Cearley; son, George E. Spangler, III; son-in-law, John L. Cearley, daughter-in-law, Sandra Baxter-Spangler; and her four grandchildren, Joanna B. Cearley, Janis A. Cearley, Matthew Alan Chapman and George " Garrett" E. Spangler, IV; as well as many very special life long friends.
