Mary Elizabeth Stinson

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Donald Lee Stinson; her two brothers, Robert and Jerry Cooper; and her sisters Clarice and Caroline.

She is survived by her sister, Susanne Sokol; by her three children, Susanne, Steven and Mark; by her step-grandchildren, Kyle and Kelly; her grandchildren, Michael, Jake, and Megan; and by numerous nephews and nieces.

During her 64 years of marriage she happily traveled the world supporting her husband's career in the Air Force. After retiring in San Antonio in 1976 they continued to enjoy traveling and made trips to Hawaii, Iceland, Ireland, Germany, Spain, India, Greece, China and numerous places across the United States.

She was an active and dedicated church member her whole life. She served in countless ways including Chairman of Christian Women's Fellowship, President of Church women United of Universal City, Secretary of Protestant Women of the Chapel, and Chairman of the Board of Rolling Oaks Christian Church, where she was a charter member. She was a tireless worker and could be counted on to offer her time and talents wherever they were needed, both to her church and to her family.

Many happy hours were also spent playing cards and games with her friends and family. She was an accomplished seamstress and baker; she loved flowers, reading, museums, sightseeing and adventures of all kinds. May her final journey be joyous and Blessed.
