Matias T. Ramirez was called home to be with the Lord, on September 17, 2015 at the age of 64. Mr. Ramirez was a graduate of Edgewood High school and attended San Antonio College. He received a certificate for Administration & Food Distribution and attended culinary classes. He was preceded in death by his parents Juanita & Damacio Ramirez, brother Damacio Ramirez Jr. and niece Khristina Humberson. Matias is survived by his loving, life time partner Ruben R. Zapata, his brothers Luis Ramirez (Alice), John Ramirez (Sharla), his sisters Sylvia Villarreal (Raymond), Diana R. Diaz (Adam Jr.), numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 5:30 pm and a Chapel Service to begin at 7 p.m. that same evening. In Lieu of flowers family would like gift donations be made to The Foundation for AIDS Research or Cancer Research Foundation , in memory of their love one. All services will conclude that same evening.
