Born May 24, 1975, to Howard and JoAnna Johnson, Megan grew up traveling with her family due to her father serving in the military, where her passion for learning and nurturing others blossomed from a young age. She pursued her dreams of becoming an educator, graduating from Stephen F Austin University with a degree in Special Education. Megan's career as a teacher spanned 25 years at Carlos Coon Elementary, during which she touched countless lives with her patient guidance and genuine care for her students. Her classroom was not just a place of learning but a haven of support and encouragement for all who entered.
Outside of her career, Megan found her greatest joy in her role as a mother to her children, Kelsey and Cory. She poured her heart and soul into raising them, instilling in them the values of love, kindness, and resilience. Her children were her pride and joy, and her dedication to their well-being was unparalleled.
Megan's love extended beyond her family to her husband and their cherished pets. She treasured the simple joys of spending time with them, whether it was exploring nature, cozying up with a good book, or working in the children’s ministry.
Those who knew Megan remember her for her gentle spirit, infectious laughter, and genuine kindness. She had an innate ability to make everyone feel valued and loved, leaving an indelible mark on all who crossed her path. Megan has a special heart for all children especially for those who need extra help.
