Melba was our mother’s best friend for decades. Had it not been for Melba’s open heart and arms, our mother Bella would not have had the joy she experienced from her early 50s to her passing at 84. 
Thank you, Melba and family,  for your many years of loving friendship, spiritual awareness and care when we came to live in San Antonio from Illinois.

My Wonderful Mother (part2), Mom was an extrovert. She truly enjoyed going out for drives, eating, shopping etc. most of the day. She was also known to have extra sensory perceptions - She was intuitive. People, even strangers would confide in her and would ask her counseling, advice, her opinion etc. Many times she knew of things before they happened. She was a believer in God and Jesus Christ. Her faith was really strong! She was a prayer warrior. Her children, friends and people in general would ask her for prayers. She prayed for her children, people, the world, the government officials, the house, the car etc. Her prayer came through. She was very proud of her connection with God and that she prayed nightly at 3am. She helped people. She was truly amazing and powerful. One time she told me that she was more powerful than a battalion of soldiers with guns. She was right! She was a positive being that changed the circumstances around her. She manifested. She uplifted people wherever she went. She was a beautiful being always doing what is right and just. She was a light to the people around her and the world always trying to make things better. Mom was and still is a fantastic spiritual powerhouse! She is a great being of faith, peace, goodness, prosperity, righteousness, of making things go right and all the great qualities that makes a great giant of a spiritual being. She did great in this lifetime in overcoming the obstacles of life and is now rewarded in heaven for all her good deeds in this plane of existence. She was an exceptional exemplary being, Mother, friend, neighbor, prayer warrior etc. While we miss her Earthly body, we will each feel her spiritual presence as her goodness permeates our very lives forever. I am very lucky and proud to have had her as my Mother! I love you always! Thank you Mom! Thank you God! Allan (1st born son)

My Wonderful Mother (Part 1) Mom was fun, loving and always ready for some social excitement like a party, lunch or dinner at a restaurant like La Paloma etc. She was a peoples’ person, always wanted to be in the company of family, good friends and strangers to make friends out of them. She liked playing the guitar, singing, dancing and the telling of a good joke or just making people laugh. She was lively, vivacious and a great Mother, always making sure we had what we needed. I remember me, my brothers and sisters would gather around her and would ask her to make us laugh. One remarkable time, with her left hand, she proceeded to pull out an imaginary string from between the fingers of her right hand! We instantly rolled the floor with so much laughter - and really loud!!! She had made something out of nothing! This was part of her nature and even recently she would make faces at me, Linell and Hanna to make us laugh. She just had a way of looking at you and you could not help but crack up. Though you have left this earthly home, your spirit lives on forever etched in our hearts, our memories, and our prayers. I know you're now wrapped in perfect peace, rejoicing in the presence of the Lord, smiling down on us with that same warmth and love you gave so freely here on earth.

Thank you for your laughter that lifted heavy hearts, for your prayers that carried us through storms, for your unwavering faith that reminded us where our help comes from. Thank you for showing us what it truly means to walk with God.

I carry so many beautiful memories with you, late nights by the lake, deep conversations about life, purpose, and faith, and those sacred moments where we joined hands to pray through trials. You never hesitated to go to war in the Spirit. You were a true intercessor, a woman after God's own heart, always ready to stand in the gap for others.

Your life was a living testimony. You loved God with all that you were, and it showed in your words, your actions, and the way you made people feel seen, known, and loved. You were intentional, present, and filled with grace.

It’s an honor to call you family. Though we miss you deeply, we rejoice knowing that you are now in glory, where there is no pain only joy everlasting.

My grandma, Melba, was truly one of a kind. She knew exactly what to say, sing, do, or pray for to make you feel safe, loved, and warm. She could make me forget my worries or what ruined my day with a tiny rolled up piece of tissue. While holding that piece of tissue in front of my face she would say, "Si ries, pierdes, y si lloras, gana." I would cry from laughing so hard and she would join in with her beautiful laugh. I'm going to miss her laugh, her smile, and her hand in mine. I know that she'll continue praying for me and I'll never stop thinking about her.

“Once upon a time an angel held my hand,
she wiped away my tears and helped me understand.
Our time on earth is brief, there's lessons to be learned,
each precious day God gives us another page is turned.
Every chapter full of memories, times of joy and tears,
triumphs and defeats through every passing year.
She loved us unconditional always by our side,
when no one else would listen in her we could confide.
With gentle words of wisdom she led us on our way,
down the paths of righteousness if ever we did stray.
She saw the light in everyone and gave with no regrets,
always from her heart let's us not forget.
Angels come in many forms, for me it is my mother,
with love I cannot say in words there'll never be another.
Every day I turn the page in my heart will ever remain,
everything she taught me as I stroll down memory lane.
Thank you God for giving me the most priceless of all treasures,
help me Lord to keep alive her memory here forever.
I pray that I can some day be everything she hoped I would,
that she's smiling down from heaven knowing she did good.
As we gather here today there's no ending to her story,
another chapter has begun full of grace and glory.
God's called her to his heavenly home part of his great plan,
although it may be hard, we all must understand.
Faith is what is hoped for, things we cannot see,
Heaven is promised to all of us if only we believe.

Going to miss you my darling you were a woman of unwavering faith , devoted Christian , and a mighty Prayer Warrior. She was not just my mother she was my life , my strength , my everything.  Her prayers were the pillar of our home , her Love the light that guided me through EVERY STORM .  She walked with God daily , and her life was a testimony of Grace , Compassion, and spiritual power.  I will miss you mamita bella but I know you are now resting in Peace in the arms of Jesus until we meet again . I will always love you and will remember your funny and witty remarks  you were so funny and charming and I will

Yvette….i had the pleasure of meeting your mom. She absolutely wore the beauty of a Hollywood star. Her elegance, her strong and yet gentle personality was one of a kind. As our friendship flourished thru the years, I was awarded time with her, and also saw she was proud of you. She saw you were an image of her and I’m sure that made her happy. Melba ‘s kindness in spite of all her misfortune she encountered when younger made her a warrior. 

Her struggles and determination of being a great Mom to all her children never stopped and loved each of her children. She bragged beautiful words to me of all of them, and she was blessed to see her grandchildren which always put a smile on her face when they visited. I have no words of comfort when you loose such a mother. 

My deepest condolences from my heart. Rest assured her soul was received in heaven with much love from God almighty and Gigi. I will never forget her and can’t imagine how you still feel. Rip Melba.
