She was born March 24, 1936, in Luling, Texas and grew up in Whitsett, Texas. Jean spent most of her adult life in San Antonio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Prentice and Beatrice Roberts Taylor; and her daughter, Linda Jean Coatney.
She is survived by her only sibling, D'Ann Taylor Harper; nieces, Kaye Harper Contreras, and Leesa Harper Rispoli and husband Nick; two great-nieces, Ashlee Arnn and husband Bobby, and Marlee Allen; three great-nephews, Miguel Contreras, Daniel Contreras and Cristian Contreras; and great-great-niece, Lee'Ann Arnn.
