

Mike was born June 24, 1945 in Buffalo, New York. His family transferred to Fort Worth, Texas where he graduated from Carter Riverside High School in 1963, and Texas Wesleyan University in 1966. Upon graduation, Mike was drafted into the military, served as a medic in the United States Army, and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for heroism in connection with military operations in the Republic of Vietnam.
After his military service he joined corporate America and served in various leadership positions until his retirement in 1995.
Mike was a kind and generous man. He made friends easily and was a good friend and mentor to many. He volunteered selflessly with several organizations, and his passion was helping abused and neglected children.
He will be remembered for his warm and engaging manner, his devout patriotism, his passion for needy children, and his profound sense of humor.
Mike is survived by his wife of 33 years, Deb Brodie; sons, Aaron Brodie (Jeanette) of Denton, TX, and Ross Brodie (Elizabeth) of Redondo Beach, CA; daughter, Megan Brodie of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Jack, Logan, and Ella Brodie, and Brodie Kyle Frost. He is also survived by his sister, Kathleen Brodie of Boston, MA.
