Michael Rene Guevara, age 24, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2006 with his loving family at his side. Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bruno and Belen Guevara; and nephew, Sammy Guevara.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Stephanie Guevara; sons: Michael Rene Guevara, Jr. and Julian James Guevara; his parents, Elizabeth and Alberto Guevara; brothers: Christopher Guevara and Mathew Guevara; sisters: Denise D. Guevara and Aundrea Guevara; aunt, Rosie Martinez; uncle, Danny Martinez; grandparents: Daniel and Frances Garcia; father-in-law, Ernest Montemayor; sister-in-law, Samantha; brother-in-law, Alexander; and other siblings; numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Michael's favorite hobbies were basketball, especially watching the Spurs play, and working on cars.
The family would like to express their gratitude and "special thanks" to the Cancer Unit 8th and 10th floors at Methodist Hospital and HEB for all their support. Their kindness and heartfelt caring of Michael throughout his illness is deeply appreciated.
Also, we thank all his friends who cared for him, especially James and Stephanie Ybarra.
