Michael M. Kemp age 77 died Friday, September 6, 2002 in San Antonio. He was born May 10, 1925. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Ethel Michael Kemp of Amarillo and his brother, Robert E. Kemp. During World War II he served in the Coast Guard on the U.S.S. Bayfield in the South Pacific. After the war he graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Later he attended law school at the University of Houston. He worked at Kelly A.F.B. He is survived by his wife, Mary Olney Kemp of San Antonio and his two daughters and their husbands, Lisa and Terry Brogan, and Dr. Kathleen Owings and her husband Brad all of Port Aransas, TX. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Brett and Brooke Brogan and Heather, Katelyn and Alexandra Owings. He loved to read books about history and science and went camping throughout the United Sates. Those who wish may send a memorial to Parkinson research, Hospice Vitas or the charity of their choice.
