Michael David Mr. Kidd, Sr.

Michael David Kidd Sr., 69, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2018. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Michael was born on August 2, 1948 in the Panama Canal Zone to Doward H. Kidd and Helen McGarrey. He graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1966 and attended Southwest Texas State University. In 1971, he joined the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 142 and served as a member for 47 years. He married his loving wife, Sharon Korbell, in January of 1972. Michael was an avid baseball and softball player, and thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Kathi Kidd. Michael is survived by his wife of 46 years; sons, Michael D. Kidd Jr., wife Marleena, Sean Kidd wife Bess; and grandchildren, Mia Bella, Emma Lou, Maverick Dalton, and Jacy Kay.

The Family wishes to extend a special Thank You to the nurses at the South Texas Cancer Center on Loop 410, Ruben Avery with Guiding Light Hospice, the staff at Kindred Hospice, and the nurses from the Critical Care Unit at Northeast Methodist Hospital.
