Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Paul B. Morris and Louise Henderson Morris Brown.
He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Matthew David Morris and Michael Corey Morris; his grandson, William Morris; his sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Tom Yates; and his beloved aunt, Betty Faye Cayton. He also leaves behind nephews, cousins, and many dear friends with whom he shared stories, music, and laughter on a daily basis.
Mike attended Thomas Jefferson High School. He built a respected career as a Lead Installation Engineer with Texas Shredder, where his skill, dedication, and work ethic were well known.
He had a lifelong passion for working with his hands and creating things, especially through woodworking. Music was a constant joy in his life—he loved many genres, with a special appreciation for The Allman Brothers Band, bluegrass, blues, and John Prine. He enjoyed playing the bass guitar and ukulele in his spare time. From a young age, Mike had a natural talent for working on automobiles, even restoring a Model A Ford as a teenager. He was also a devoted Alabama football fan—always cheering, “Roll Tide.”
Above all, Mike will be remembered for the love he gave so freely, his unwavering faith, and the joy he found in connecting with others through conversation, humor, and music. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
