

Michael Wayne Power, age 79, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, in San Antonio. He was born in Beaumont, Texas, on January 22, 1946, to his parents, Alphonse James Power, Jr. and Bernice LaVern Hartwig Power.
A proud veteran, Michael faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His life was guided by his Christian faith, which shaped the way he cared for others. Michael lived with kindness, humility, and a deep sense of gratitude for his family and close friends.
He was an avid fan of auto racing and a lifelong supporter of the Dallas Cowboys. Whether cheering on his team or watching NASCAR, Michael found joy in the things that brought people together.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Donna Joy Power; their children: Julie Carter and her husband, Mark; Shaun Power and his wife, Lauren; and Brandon Power and his wife, Erica; as well as his five cherished grandchildren: Madison Carter, Mark Carter, Matthew Carter, Landon Power, and Jackson Power.
Michael will be remembered for his devotion to family, love of life’s simple pleasures, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78209.
