Wayne was a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, in-law and friend, known for his big heart, loyalty, and kindness. He was a passionate barbecue aficionado, a great organizer and planner with a fondness for spreadsheets, devoted to his dogs, and a true sports enthusiast. His charismatic, warm and playful personality drew nieces and nephews to him. His loyalty to his friends and family was dependable and ever present.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, his parents, siblings, numerous nieces and nephews and his treasured in-laws and extended family.
A celebration of life will be held at Porter Loring Mortuary West on August 30, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. The viewing is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., followed by sharing from family and friends 12:00 p.m. until1:00 p.m.
In honor of Wayne’s love of sports, the family invites guests to wear their favorite sports team shirt, jersey or team colors. Please do not feel it necessary to purchase anything as your presence is most important.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to the American Heart Association.
