Michelle Helen Hawley

Michelle, 51, passed away January 27 in San Antonio, Texas, attended by her loved ones. She was born to Charlene Lavone Smith on July 26, 1973 in Colorado Spring, Colorado. She attended Mitchell High School, Colorado Spring, Colorado and furthered her education at Penn Foster. Michelle and Clayton married on April 8,1996 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Michelle is survived by her Husband, Clayton Hawley of San Antonio, Texas; Daughter, Makayla Charlene Hawley of San Antonio, Texas; Twin brother, Jason Ricketson and wife Beth of Greenvile, Illinois; Nephew, Jake Weiss and Wife Randalyn of Illinois; Niece, Jessica Weiss and Husband Orhan of Illinois; Great Nephews, Luke and Colt and Great Niece, Anaya; Father in law, Kieth Hawley of Colorado; Aunt, Debbie McCune of Nevada; Cousin, Amanda McCune of Nevada, and Jesse McCune of Colorado; Uncle, Kent Smith of Colorado. As well as numerous other Cousin.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Charlene Lavone Smith of Colorado; Mother in law Ginny Hawley of Colorado; Brother in law Marty Hawley of Colorado; Cousin, Karley Michelle Sonntag of Celina, Texas; Cousin, Krissy Smith of Idaho.

Michelle had a Great passion for ceramic arts along with a multitude of different crafts. She was an avid reader of various genres, as well as watching sports with her loved ones. With an attachment for spending time outdoors camping, fishing, along with enjoying the sunrise and sunset on her seven and a half acre land with her two dogs. She had a great fondness for plants and working in her garden.

With her compassionate and empathetic nature, she was always one to lend and ear, felt a draw to aid anyone in need. Believing in giving back to her community through meals on wheels while developing a long-lasting relationship with those she served.

A memorial gathering will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 on Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Michelle will be forever loved and missed by all those she touched.
