Michelle Z. Hilbig, beloved mother, wife and daughter, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at the young age of 30. Mrs. Hilbig is survived by her husband, Wayne C. Hilbig; 4 year old son, Jacob E. Hilbig; and 15-month old daughter, Emilee A. Hilbig. She is also survived by her parents, David and Diana Zapata, and Joyce Burc; brothers, David Edward Zapata and Steven Zapata; step-sister, Kristi Hynes and her husband, Joe; grandparents, Carlos and Emma Lee Zapata, Coleman and Adelle Barber and other close relatives. Michelle graduated from Incarnate Word High School in 1991 and finished her Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1995. Mrs. Hilbig worked in retail and as a professional assistant but found her destiny with the birth of her son as a loving, nurturing mother. She was active in the San Antonio chapter of the Mom's Club and immensely enjoyed the lasting friendships formed through this caring organization. Michelle will always be in our hearts through her gift of two precious and beautiful children, Jacob and Emilee.
