Michelle Ann Saba

Our beloved wife, mother and friend Michelle Ann Saba, 50, passed away after a long struggle with a compromised immune system on Saturday, November 30, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas with her daughter, spouse and friends by her side. She was born on August 8, 1963 in Montevideo, Minnesota to Paul and Delores West Schortgen. She attended Severna Park High School in Maryland as well as the University of Maryland. In 1988 she married Nicolas Saba and together they had one wonderful daughter, Alexandra.

Michelle served our nation as an Analytic Manager at the National Security Agency/Central Security Service. For over 30 years, she dedicated herself to the success of the people in the workforce and the harmonious progression of the Agency and Nation she cared for dearly. She received many awards during her exceptional career.

A unique, courageous and loving soul, Michelle will be greatly missed by many. A Celebration of Life organized by Sunset North Funeral Home will be held at 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, Texas on December 17, 2013 from 4-8 PM. A Time of Friendship organized by Kaufman Funeral Home will be held at 7250 Washington Blvd. Elkridge, Maryland on January 8, 2014 from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Michelle’s name to the National Marrow Donor Program at www.Bethematch.org or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at www.LLS.org.
