Mike Medina

Mike Medina, Jr., age 89, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 peacefully at his home in Bulverde, Texas. He was born on April 3, 1932, in San Antonio, Texas to parents, Mike B. Medina, Sr. and Catharyne S. Medina. Mike entered the military service in the United States Army during the Korean conflict in December of 1952. He served as an Infantryman and was honorably discharged in December of 1954. Mike then entered civil service at Kelly AFB until his retirement on August 31, 1987. His hobbies included pigeon flying and he was a member of Woodlawn, All City Flying Pigeon Clubs. Mike was also a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Mike is survived by his wife, Amada G. Medina; son, Michael Louis Medina and his wife, Jeannette; daughter, Cynthia Lynn Medina Briseno and her husband, Tommy; daughter, Alma Grace Medina; numerous grandchildren, great grandchild, and great great grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Jean Medina Gonzales; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from time to 1:00-3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
