He loved to sing and dance. Every time there was a dance floor, he would be the first person dancing. Any mixture of sounds between a guitar and a trumpet meant he would be ready to sing-a-long with his favorite mariachis songs. Salsa/Merengue was his favorite to dance to.
Miguel took pride in his appearance. He was always dressed to impress, shirt tucked out perfectly, collar and cuffs on shirt pressed, his hands as smooth and soft as silk, shoulders back, chest out, head up with a smile. Miguel loved his teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. He would ensure he would watch every cowboy game every Sunday. Miguel would attend games every season. He would treat every game he watched as a championship game. Miguel would stand the whole time throughout the games. He would call out what was going to happen prior to the play and sure enough, he was right. In his loud and proud voice, "I told you so! What did I tell you Louie? I was right! I know my team, Whooo Yeaaaaaaaa!!!" High fives given out to his dad and brother as his mom would walk in and ask, "What happened?" Miguel would enthusiastically reenact the whole play again, just for her.
He is survived by his son, Mike Adrian Padilla; daughter, Ashley Nichole Padilla; granddaughter, Amera; parents, Mike and Mary Padilla; sisters, Gloria, Gina, Monica, Jennifer and brother, Louie Padilla. Also survived by Lupe G. Padilla.
