

Milda lived an interesting and unusual life, being raised in a German farming community, speaking fluent German. She was an avid gardener, hard worker, gifted with needle and thread, and devoted to her family and volunteer work in her church, Christ Lutheran Church. She also completed writing and illustrating her autobiography, "Mein Leben" My Life in 2000.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lina Hofferichter, her husband, George Hugh Stolte, her son-in-law, David McCaskill, her sister, Edna Schwab, her sister-in-law, Evelyn Stolte, and her brother-in-law, Ervin Buchholtz.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty Stolte Bruton and Peggy McCaskill Foerster; sons-in-law, Tony Bruton and Paul Foerster; grandchildren, Scott McCaskill and wife, Heather, Robert Hugh Bruton, Cristin Lea McCaskill, and Elizabeth Aubrey Bruton; step grandchildren, Jill Foerster Clark and husband Reverend Bill Clark, David Foerster, Holly Foerster Kramaley and husband Nick. Step greatgrandchildren are Christopher, Annie, and Sam Clark. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Hugo C. Stolte Jr and Berta Schwab; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Buchholtz; and many friends and family.
The family thanks the many caregivers that gave tender loving care to Milda in her last years and days.
