Mildred Chapman Goodenough

Mildred attended Thomas Jefferson High School and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin, where she was a lifelong member of Delta Gamma. During her 30 years as an elementary school teacher, she shaped the lives of countless students. Mildred was the first Head Mistress at St. George's Episcopal Preschool before teaching in public school with Northeast I.S.D. Although education was very important to her, nothing matched her love and passion for God and her family.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Gail; her parents; siblings, Van Bain Chapman, Jr., Frances Shackelford, and Margaret Huck.

Mildred is survived by her children, Daniel Goodenough (Trish), Andrew Goodenough, and Amy Gordon (Marty); grandchildren, Shannon, Adam (Drea), Wright, Charles, William, and Philip; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
