Miriam Hernandez

Miriam was born in Brooklyn, NY to Julian and Nereida Hernandez on June 16th, 1959. “Glory to God” was her motto. The verse Psalm 91 brought her comfort. Her Grandchildren brought her joy. She was an intelligent and passionate woman. She was an organ donor and was able to donate both corneas after her passing.

Miriam is survived by her three children: Nereida, Marisol and Raul; and nine grandchildren: Marissa, Marco, Miriam, Hadley, Juliana, Isaac, Inaya, Jackson, and Tatum.

The visitation will be 10:00 am on Thursday January 2nd, 2025 at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm on Thursday January 2nd, 2025. at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218.

Any donations should be directed towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The National Breast Cancer Foundation provides early detection screenings, including mammograms, breast health education, and a supportive community.

The family of Miriam wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the many Doctors, and Nurses that worked to raise the quality and length of Miriam’s life. The family extends our sincere thanks to all the prayer warriors that kept Miriam in their prayers.
