

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Monseise Madrigal of San Antonio, Texas. He passed away peacefully; surrounded by his family, on January 29, 2025 at the age of 81. He was born in Pleasanton, Texas, on August 4, 1943 to Elvira and Conrado Madrigal Sr. Monseise was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He attended Burbank High School, enlisted in the Marine Corp, and enjoyed a successful career in sales for many years. His work ethic, charisma, and integrity made a lasting impact on those who knew him. In 1969, Monseise married Mary Jane Enriquez and together they shared 55 eventful years of marriage filled with excitement and laughter.
A man of many passions, Monseise loved the holiday season, especially Christmas. He took great pride in decorating his home with an elaborate display of lights and bringing family and friends together to kick off the season with a holiday breakfast, which became a family tradition. He also enjoyed spending time fishing at Port Aransas, where he found peace and happiness by the water vacationing with his family. Monseise was also an avid guitar player. His love of music and dancing was passed on to his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Conrado and Elvira Madrigal; his brothers, Cisco Madrigal and Conrado Madrigal Jr.; his sister, Tomasa Madrigal; and his daughter, Angela Madrigal.
Monseise is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane Madrigal; his sister, Marla Madrigal; his brother, Mario Madrigal; and his children, Jane Marie Madrigal, Monseise Madrigal II, Michael Madrigal, and Amanda Madrigal. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren: Angela Aleida Madrigal, Marsha Caridad Madrigal, Devin Madrigal, Johnny Gutierrez, Rene Adejobi, Xavier Gutierrez, Isabela Madrigal, Noelani Madrigal, and Michael Monseise Madrigal.
Monseise’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His generous spirit, humorous nature, and compassionate heart will never be forgotten.
A services for Monseise will be held:
Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. Rosary at 7:00 PM.
Final farewell: Friday, February 14, 2025 at 8:30 am-10:00 am. Depart funeral home at 10:30. Burial at San Fernando Cemetery #3. 1735 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226
