Morgan dedicated his life to serving his country, first as an Air Force veteran from 1960 to 1964, and then through a distinguished 34-year career in Civil Service as an Air Force Intelligence and National Security analyst. His commitment to national security helped shape a safer world for future generations.
He was preceded in death by loving family members and is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Maria "Billie" Beck; his brother Iver Lee Beck (85); and his three children: Steven Michael Beck (Stephanie), Aaron Morgan Beck (Veronica), and Sara Elizabeth Lerich (Ben). Morgan took immense pride in his grandchildren: Rachel (Austin) Slusser, Joshua (Emmalyne) Beck, Emily Beck, Jacob Beck, and Nora Lerich and great-grandchildren: Elsie, Charles, and Adley.
Morgan's passion for adventure took him around the world, but he found equal joy in the simple pleasure of fishing on Texas rivers and lakes. Known for his beautifully sly sense of humor and the unique ability to snap his fingers louder than anyone else, Morgan had a special way of bringing smiles to those around him
A friend to all, Morgan's warmth and kindness touched countless lives. His legacy lives on through the many lives he enriched with his wisdom, humor, and boundless love for his family.
