

Jack grew up in Tomnolen, Mississippi where his family had orchards and grew their own crops. They were a family of faith and music, always singing around the piano. They were well respected and known as always helping their neighbors. He had many friends growing up and was proud to play the drums in the Eupora High School band.
Jack proudly served his country in the US Army as a medic on the front lines during Vietnam. After 30 years of service Jack retired from the Army as an MSG. Jack then ventured into the insurance industry and worked for Colonial for 32 years.
While stationed in San Antonio he met the love of his life, Rosalinda. After their marriage, Jack and Rose started their family and moved to Hawaii where they built many fond family memories. Jack traveled frequently during his military career and upon their return to San Antonio, he settled back in with his family and became a strong member of his church and community.
Jack had many hobbies such as coaching little league baseball teams and working endlessly to maintaine a beautiful yard. Jack was proud of being a grandfather and hero to his 10 grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity to volunteer at schools and churches with them. The grandkids loved their Granddaddy and each one of them hold tight the laughter and memories he provided them. All who grew to know and love Jack can recall how he just “shined” with a bright and joyful disposition. Singing and whistling all through life; he will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Christine Bailey; his beloved wife, Rosalinda; his siblings, Thomas “Herbert” Bailey, Martha Adkins, Joe Bailey, Ralph Bailey and George “Sonny” Bailey.
Jack is survived by his children, Jack F. Bailey, Jr., Martha Hernden and Nancy Sarem (Doug), daughter-in-law, Melissa; son-in-law, John; his grandchildren: William, Jackie, Victoria, Michael, Ashley, Brooke, Aniston, John, Hope, Bailey; and his great grandson, Brayden.
