Nakia Deshawn ("Shawn") Terrell

Shawn graduated from Lackland High School in San Antonio TX in 1993. After graduation, he worked as an eye glass technician and sales person in optical retailers across the city. In 2006, Shawn was among the first group of team members hired at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas (TMMTX). He made his way through the ranks at TMMTX from working on the assembly line to eventually becoming a member of the quality control team. He took great pride in all he was able to accomplish during his time at Toyota and demonstrated great skill and knowledge when completing his duties. He could tell you anything you wanted to know about the cars manufactured at TMMTX. While Shawn was employed at Toyota, he made lasting friendships and wonderful memories with his team members.

Although Shawn was a hard worker, he also knew how to have a good time. So many of us have memories of him dancing with his head thrown back or belting out his favorite R&B ballads. His smile and personality filled up any room and he was the kind of person that could make a friend almost anywhere. He was hilarious, charming, confident, and had an opinion or theory about just about everything. His knowledge of music and random pop culture facts was on another level! His presence will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Shawn leaves behind an incredible legacy of laughter and love.

Shawn was preceded in death by his father, Leon Terrell, Sr.; brother, Leon Terrell, Jr.; and daughter, Alyssa Monae Terrell. Shawn is survived by his son, Marcel J. Moore; mother, Teresa Terrell; sister, Clarissa L. Terrell; long-time partner Mariejane Weaver; as well as a host of loving family members and a lifetime of friends.

Funeral services will be held for Shawn on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, TX 78232.
