Nancy Francis Lee (Krupinski) Clifford, age 85, fortified with the sacraments of the Church, passed into the loving arms of God the Father on Monday, September 23, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on December 7, 1938, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Edward Krupinski and Lillian Harris. She received her B.A. in Education from Southwest Texas State University. Growing up, Nancy attended St. Teresa of Avila and Incarnate Word High School in St. Louis, Missouri, where she found opportunities to share her love of dance alongside her mother. Dance brought her to the St. Louis University Drama Department, where she met her husband, John Clifford, and they were married on July 4, 1959. Their marriage was blessed with three wonderful daughters: Bridget Marie, Christine Marie (deceased), and Kathleen Marie.
John and Nancy traveled abroad, visiting England, Italy, France, Greece, Austria, and made a home “down under” in Adelaide, Australia, for two years. Nancy taught in Catholic schools across the United States (Illinois, Missouri, Texas) and in Australia (Adelaide). Throughout the schools in the Archdiocese of San Antonio, Nancy enjoyed sharing her faith with the younger generation and serving in leadership roles.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her mother- and father-in-law; husband, John; daughter, Christine; and her grandson, Brett. Nancy is survived by her daughters, Bridget (Brad) Sharp and Kathleen (Mike) Boucher; granddaughter Brittney (Aaron) Coronna; grandson Shane (Natalie) Boucher; brother Mark (Caren) Krupinski; as well as many nieces and nephews. Nancy will be missed by her family, grade school classmates, neighbors, and colleagues.
While she was Mrs. Clifford or Nancy to most, she was best known by her grandchildren as “Meanie.” May she be tap dancing on heaven’s center stage as God welcomes His daughter with a feeling of grace and acceptance.
The family will be accepting visitors on Wednesday October 2, 2024 from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 Nort Loop 1604 East.
